Top South Side Hotel Reviews

DoubleTree by Hilton New York Downtown

10/10 Excellent

"It was nice hotel. Staff was friendly. Great location."

NEW YORKER BY LOTTE HOTELS

8/10 Good

"Great location, on the whole a good hotel. However the beds are small (you expect small rooms in New York!) and there are no tea/coffee facilities in the room. When we arrived, we had booked the two bed room as three of us were staying, but the beds were not big enough for two to share. So we upgraded to a suite and had two beds and a sofa bed - staff were helpful to arrange."

Arlo Midtown

8/10 Good

"Room was mostly clean (some trash left behind on the floor but nothing major). Parking was rough… we had to go back to the car 3 times before they actually helped us with the valet. Tiny room, my suitcase had to wheel sidewise to fit through the room. Decent location though, 10 minute walk to Times Square, 10 minute walk to Madison square garden. Not really worth the price though, and there wasn’t an iron that I needed (rip). Overall it was okay. Added fees after though (literally an extra $650 after the $2500 I already paid for 4 days)."

Hyatt Regency Times Square

10/10 Excellent

"Stayed in the king room with Times Square view, it was perfect. Huge comfortable bed, very clean and spacious. As two women it felt very secure and safe, with staff at all entrances and key card needed to access lift and extra lock on the bedroom door, which was something I was looking for."

Many local festivals and outdoor events begin in late spring, offering a great introduction to the area's lively culture.

The academic year is also in full swing, bringing a dynamic energy to the university areas.

While summer (July and August) can be warm and humid, with temperatures often exceeding 28°C, it's a popular time for outdoor concerts and street festivals.
